As one of the largest northwestern nickel processing factory , Jinchuan Group owned two ore dressing series. The old series adopted 9 vertical filters and 2 ceramics filter from a world famous brand. The vertical filter produced filter cake with high moisture content and it was difficult to operate with large amount of maintenance; The new series adopted 14 ceramics filters which produced 15% moisture content in the filter cake. Both of two systems can not meet the requirements of the following process. After replacing all the vertical and ceramic filters with Changjie filter press, the moisture content in the filter cake was reduced to 9% with production cost lowered by 60%; Changjie filter press greatly helped them reduce filtration cost.
